The Evian Playground

Do you remember the Evian Baby adverts? Well they may have been a bit scary, but the brands strapline - Live Young - wasn't just applied to those ad's. Back in January 2013, Evian decided to encourage London commuters, who were heading back to work after the Christmas break, to Live Young at their giant snow-producing playground. Playgrounds and Snow, they would definitely take me back to Living Young.
The bright pink playgrounds were set up at two London locations. 'At Canary Wharf, Evian installed adult-sized Live young swings, and a giant see-saw was set up in Finsbury Avenue Square. Both featured kinetically triggered snow machines which rewarded playful behaviour with snow showers.' The playgrounds were 'part of Evian’s ‘31 ways to Live young’ January campaign, which aimed to get the British public smiling by helping them rediscover their forgotten youth.'*
We have just about got ourselves through this years January, but how amazing would it have been to be able release some stress, have fun and relieve our childhood on our way into work, especially in the snow. I may now be 22 and in my first job out of University, but as soon as the small flakes fell, (it never actually settled), all of us stopped working to watch, just as we all did when we were much younger. Overall I think it was a great engaging installation that was able to subtly promote the brand in an innovative and fascinating manner. Who isn't happy having fun in the snow?
