Maybe Even Create Your Own Playlist
10:00 amLast year Spotify created a pretty awesome out-of-home advertising campaign 'based around its vast trove of listener data, with headlines referencing some of the more bizarre user habits it noticed throughout 2016.' This year they have taken this campaign further by calling out some of the funniest and most unusual user playlists. *

Along with these they have pushed the campaign with three online videos 'featuring musical artists, Alessia Cara, DNCE and D.R.A.M., who all marvel at their songs’ inclusion on oddly named playlists—which are then acted out in absurd fashion.'*
Both the videos and out-of-home advertising showcase the fun and youthful side of Spotify and is something lighthearted. It's also really interesting that Spotify are 'putting users at the centre of the ads, and celebrating their peculiarities - which really just shows how they make the service their own.'* It is definitely something that I think will be developed into future campaigns as it has such great potential.
Why not take a look at last years campaign here.
