Are You Brit Ready?

9:30 am

The highly anticipated BRIT Awards is live on ITV tonight and I'm super excited to see what's being labelled as the best line up ever - Bruno Mars, Emile Sande, Skepta, The 1975, Little Mix, Robbie Williams, Katy Perry and the incredible Ed Sheeran. All huge names that are bound to put on a great show in between the hold your breath moments of intoxicated celebrity interviews and acceptance speeches.

The build up to the event has been going for a while, with the nominees revealed over a month ago and the coveted award designed by architect Zaha Hadid was unveiled back at the beginning of December.
Sleek and elegant replicating her architectural recipe, however not as out there and exciting as past awards in my opinion (collection shown below). However I love that they have carried on from Pam Hogg in making a separate award for each category, making each award even more unique and special.
But two activations that have really caught my eye. The MasterCard Listening Booth and BRITs Week in collaboration with War Child & O2.
MasterCard, sponsor of the BRITs for 17 years, launched the Listening Booth in Covent Garden on Monday. Transforming an iconically British red telephone box into a listening booth, 'music fans can immerse themselves in the songs from previous BRIT winners. Guests are invited inside the booth for an experience that aims to strip away all unnecessary distractions and allow for a moment to enjoy the sound of popular artists.'* Running for just the two days before the event and then moving to the BRITs itself, the activation was a successful and quick reminder about the upcoming event and the music we get to celebrate.
The second activation that has caught my eye is the BRITs Week in collaboration with War Child & O2. Similar to the Apple Music Festival, the gigs stage some of the biggest British talent performing in intimate venues across London. You have to enter into a draw to win tickets whilst also supporting War Child by donating £5. Sadly the prize draw closed in January but check out the incredible line up here. I love this idea! I was lucky enough to win some tickets a couple of years back for One Direction & Little Mix with Apple Music and having previously seen the boys in a larger arena I wasn't too sure if I really wanted to be surrounded by young girls who felt the need to scream every time one of them spoke. However I was pleasantly surprised. In a much smaller setting it was much more enjoyable and intimate and I feel that the BRITs Week gigs will have that same relaxed feeling.

If the lead up activations have been this good, how amazing would it be to attend the prestigious event itself! Even more amazing when you realise that VIP Guests and Artists receive incredible Goody Bags full to the brim with expensive and exciting goodies.
'Warner Music are planning to shower their VIP guests and artists with luxury gifts including Lanvin cufflinks, Sarah Sabastian diamond earrings, a Polaroid camera and film, skin care by Revive and a bottle of Ciroc vodkaThe girls’ goodie bags will also include £250 Net-a-Porter voucher while the boys will receive the same amount for Mr Porter.
Most importantly though, they will contain invites to the label’s legendary after party, which will follow the ceremony at the Freemasons Hall. Dua Lipa is already confirmed to perform, while Bruno Mars, Tinie Tempah and Annie-Marie are among expected guests.' **As if attending the event isn't enough, you get all this amazing stuff. Think I'm in the wrong profession.

Make sure you tune in tonight on ITV at 7:30pm and from 6:30-7:30pm and 10-11pm on ITV2 for behind the scenes sneak peeks and live red carpet action.
