The Hidden Folks Are Ready To Be Found

10:30 am

If you never spent hours on end as a child searching for Wally in amongst a Circus or an Arabian market, then I am very sorry you were deprived of this mixed emotion - pure anger and sheer joy - experience. However now you can experience these emotions in a new way. The launch of the new game, Hidden Folks, is today! You can 'search for hidden folks in hand-drawn, interactive, miniature landscapes. Unfurl tent flaps, cut through bushes, slam doors, and poke some crocodiles! Rooooaaaarrrr!!!!!'*

'It sounds simple, and it is, but Hidden Folks remains interesting because of its playfulness. It's interactive in a way hidden object books can't be; you can tap on garage doors to open them, or move cars and trucks out of the way to see what's hiding behind them. There are even complex factory sequences, in which you're able to manipulate conveyor belts to move objects around and find what you're looking for.' **

It might just sound like a game, but it has already been recognised by many awards and the marketing used around it is what really pulled me in. Gamers were used pre-launch to start the buzz and the website itself followed the fun, playful and stripped back personality. They included a feature in which you could receive an e-mail on launch day and even created an online shop for playable t-shirts and posters.

Whether it be whilst your on a long train journey or having a lazy Sunday morning in bed, there is endless hours of fun, and pure outrage, to be had finding those little Hidden Folks.
