Work Hard, So You Can Shop Harder.
10:00 amI'm sure I speak for many when I say shopping is great but it can also be super frustrating. I hate being surrounded by screaming children and boyfriends holding bags along with never being able to find exactly what I want, oh and sometimes I am just really not in the mood to spend my hard earned cash. However when pay-day came around at the end of February I decided I wouldn't let anything defeat me. I was going to head out and Treat Myself!

I then spotted a great blue and white striped shirt. I have been after one for a while and thought this was great. Relaxed and comfortable and not too smart which I like. I bought a 14 even though I'm usually an 8 as I wanted that boyfriend shirt feel. I would definitely suggest doing this as it looks great!

You can't go wrong with some beauty staples. I have been using Garnier's Micellar Water for about a year now and I am still in love with it. So simple to use on a daily morning and night basis, great at removing make-up quickly and has kept my skin pretty clear. However I thought I would try to up my routine by grabbing a mask. I wasn't sure where to start as there were so many options, but the Quick Fix Facials Anti-Blemish Mud Mask stood out to me, maybe it was the bright packaging. That may have been the case but I'm very happy with this purchase. It smells pretty nice which is rare and my face feels super smooth after use. Smashed it.
I also decided on giving my hair some TLC. Since starting my job I have been putting more heat on my hair on a daily basis, normally adding a few more curls in to give a fuller look. Once again I had no idea where to start with all the options and was probably pulled in by the packaging again. At least it's doing the job it's meant to do. The product itself did exactly what it was meant to do. My hair felt and looked a lot sleeker and it definitely gave it a rejuvenated boost.
My last beauty purchase was a proper little treat. I love a nudey-pink lip as I don't feel brave enough to go too bold, unless it's a red. I've had good experiences with Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipsticks and had heard good things about the new Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Collection, so thought why not give it a go. I wasn't disappointed. It's long lasting, easily applied and moisturising - perfect.

Let's start on bags! You can never have too many black bags and that's exactly why I treated myself to two. The Black Suedette Shoulder Box Bag is great for a night out with plenty of space for all the essentials and I really loved the shaping as it's something a bit different. My second bag is another of my purchases of something I have been looking for for a while, a Black Leather-look Backpack. I just think that it will be great for when I go on holiday in a couple of months time, along with any other short trips away. I decided on getting the larger size, probably so I can fit more stuff in it that I really don't need, but at least it will fit my laptop in too which will probably be pretty helpful in the future.
I also picked up some Black Snakeskin Textured Slip On Trainers. This is a repeat purchase as my previously similar shoes are completely wrecked from over wearing them. Wearing them on nights out in Nottingham probably didn't help that but they are just so comfortable.
My next purchase was the beautiful Khaki Tie Waist Trousers. I feel like I'm in jeans too much and have been eyeing these up for a while and I'm so happy I took the plunge. They are comfortable, smart and great for a day to night outfit.
The final piece - the stunning Double Layer Frill Bardot. For anyone that knows me knows that I love a bardot and I can't wait for Summer to get them all back out again. However I thought why not get a new one this season and I feel I have made a great choice.
