What Am I Like?

My first brief of second year has quickly come round and I actually quite enjoyed it. Living in a house with other FCP students really helps us all to inspire each other and bounce off each other and our ideas. The brief was to illustrate What are you Like? in what ever media you preferred. I decided on creating the typical Instagram flat lay image because it is a simple yet effective way of showing who I am all together in one space. I decided on a several pieces that truly represented me, even though it could come across slightly embarrassing. I think thats what I found hard originally with the brief, as I feel talking about myself can be quite personal and embarrassing to share with others. However I have to take a positive swing on this and say that my personal likes and dislikes make me different from others and form my own personal brand identity.
The topics we could use were quite broad and I didn't want to take them all too literally, such as using my Statue of Liberty cup to represent a Place (New York). I also wanted to add some of my own categories in as I felt not all the categories would truly represent me. I added in my lanyard from work and a photo frame of my family as they mean a lot to me and therefore a big part of who I am.
I did find making the image slightly harder than I thought, probably due to the fact there is not much space in a student house and I didn't have a completely flat white surface that I could use. But if I was to replicate this image in a studio with proper lighting I think it would look more professional and give even more of an understanding of the concept.
Here's my final image.....
What do you think? What would you choose to represent you?
