Espresso Yourself

Coffee Shops - You can't walk down the high street without seeing multiples of these and therefore finding something fun, personalised and innovative to get customers excited can be quite difficult. However a new pop-up in London, called Espresso Yourself, has done just that.

'It's easy to get burnt out on a dating app, swiping through people's profiles day in and day out. But what if you could sip those same profiles and still potentially get a date out of it?
'That's exactly what happens when you ordered from Espresso Yourself, a pop-up coffee truck in London.' * 'A 'menu' of eight different Match members (four male, four female) will be available to choose from at the two-day pop-up at Shoreditch’s Boxpark. After picking their preferred drink, visitors will be handed a free coffee with the profile picture of their chosen single 3D-printed into the coffee’s foam. While drinking their beverage they can get to know more about their potential beau by reading the outside of a specially-designed coffee cup containing further information.' ** Customers can choose from "femmericanos" and "chappuccinos," each of which is named after an actual person—and even get their own photos onto a "selffee." If you find someone you like, you can track them down via a Match link on the cups.' *
'So how did Espresso Yourself accomplish this? The magic of 3-D printing. Coffee Ripples, which prints all sorts of words and images on foam, created the technology.' *
'The only downside of dating app culture meeting cafe culture is that your options will be quite limited until you're totally overcaffeinated. But the upside is that if you're not feeling any of the foam faces in your drinks, you've got a bunch of other singles drinking right around you.' *

Something so odd but yet so exciting and futuristic! These elements not only created a great experience for those involved, but also allowed for easy social media sharing and therefore was able to reach people on a global stage.
Unfortunately Espresso Yourself isn't open anymore, but hopefully we will be seeing more of these future forward technologies being used at many experiences to come.
