Ready, Set, Pacman!

With just two weeks to go until the 51st Super Bowl excitement is starting to build. We may not know which teams will be facing off yet but we know that Lady Gaga is going to be putting on a huge spectacle at half time and there will be some amazing new adverts - just like the incredible Budweiser Light "Up For Whatever" campaign which featured a life-size Pacman!
Budweiser constructed a life-size Pac Man maze in Los Angeles’ Fashion District for the advert. In the ad, a man is asked whether he is "Up for Whatever" and tasked to go outside. There he is given an enormous coin and the chance to play in the life-size replica of the classic arcade game’s maze. The whole setup is a brightly lit and faithful recreation of the original game, with neon glowing ghosts clearly visible from above. Actors from the shoot and passers-by posted images of the set on social media which created an initial buzz before the ad went live on the night.*

The concept of the ad is something I found really impressive and exciting, however it would have been great if they kept the space open for the public after as could have elevated it even further. But as it was a Super Bowl ad, this wasn't needed as the reach for these adverts are so huge that they didn't need to push it any further through other platforms. 

 How much fun would it be though if someone did recreate this along with other old school arcade games? If someone does I will definitely be first in line to give it a go...and win of course.
