If your lucky enough to have a loveable dog that greets you at the door when you return from work and wakes you up with a sloppy kiss in the morning, then I am super jealous. I have been asking for a puppy ever since I was little, but with a hectic family lifestyle, my childhood dream sadly never came true.
However the first ever 'Paw-ternity' leave programme has been introduced in the UK to allow workers to spend some time with their new pup whilst they settle in.
This could be it! A great initiative to eventually allow me to find the time for a fun-loving puppy.

'Brewdog, Scotland's largest craft brewer, is now giving employees a week's paid holiday to look after a new dog. It allows staff to make sure their four-legged friend gets comfortable in its new home without being left alone for long periods of time. Once the week is over, the company encourages staff to bring their dogs with them to work' and their employees have taken them up on this offer. Their 'Aberdeen HQ currently has around 50 office dogs.'* 

Okay yes, it is probably quite distracting and may not smell the best. But how happy would you be knowing that if it all gets a bit stressful you can take five minutes out for puppy cuddles. It also gives you a perfectly good excuse to get up from your desk and enjoy some fresh air. It's a win win in my eyes.
