Last nights fundraiser was even more epic than usual and millions of donations have already been made. But sometimes people are too lazy to pick up the phone or go online to donate, I'm not sure why. But this year, in collaboration with Master Card, Comic Relief have made it even easier to donate - a contactless red nose in Birmingham.

The Bull Ring Bull is often dressed up to match events and Comic Relief is no different. He has been given a lovely red nose. But it's not the Red Nose that has been the important feature over the past couple of days. Just behind him is the Worlds first contactless nose where you can donate £3 to Comic Relief which will then be doubled if you use your Master Card. It's such a great way to get people involved by just using a simple tap.
This might be the first Contactless Red Nose, but it's not the first time a contactless machine has been set up to get people donating. Cancer Research have used contactless in multiple activations. A shop window, fundraising box and a bus stop to name just a few.
This method of payment is becoming more and more popular with the use of Apple Pay and I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more activations similar to these.
