Bed 'N' Binge

8:30 am

Waking up on a Monday morning after a lovely weekend is never fun, especially when all you really want to do is stay in bed all day and binge on Netflix. Well the new Bed 'N' Binge Retreat in London allowed you to do just that. One night, themed rooms and paying for your stay by binge watching, sounds pretty great to me.

'Three Mobile teamed up with Samsung and Netflix to launch the Bed 'N' Binge retreat, marking the launch of its new 'Go Binge' service' over the last week. Guests were invited 'to embark on a one night bingeing escape. On arrival, visitors were handed a bingeing device – with a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ – before making their way into one of the 15 suites, which were respectively designed to represent different Netflix shows. Each suite slept two people, and featured both an interior and exterior inspired by hit shows such as Orange Is The New Black, Glow, Better Call Saul, Stranger Things and Pretty Little Liars. Visitors could book to stay for one night and payed for their stay by binge watching on their favourite Netflix shows.'*
There was also the opportunity to 'attend the retreat for daytime binge sessions of the latest Netflix Original series in the Samsung Lounge, which also offered binge-worthy snacks. Guests could also live stream TV via streaming service TVPlayer, which set up a tent dedicated to binge watching Wimbledon.'*
I love the concept of this experiential activation! For me themed events work so well as you can become completely immersed into a different world and therefore allows the individuals to be transported and forget everything else. I think its important that all angles are considered and this has definitely been done. From themed rooms and food to 'hands-free docking stations in the bathrooms'** it is the perfect set up for a relaxed Netflix Binge.
